Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress best known for her roles in Hum Aapke Hain Koun. Her first fame was her 1980s role in Tezaab, in which she co-starred along with the veteran actor Anil Koopor. In the following film, Dil, Aamir Khan appeared alongside her. Born into a middle-class family in Mumbai she began learning to dance from a very young age. She began acting when she was a youngster and struggled for several years because most of her initial films were flops. Eventually, she found success with Indian film and climbed to the top. After her marriage, she took an interruption in her professional career. She returned later. In recent times, she was in a major role as a character in Gulaab Gang. The film featured the challenges faced by women in India. Dixit is nominated in 15 Filmfare Awards. Of these she's won eight. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian honor in India. Her fame is based on her work in the field of social service as well.
