Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej currently Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born on November 12, 1961. She was the first Romanian to receive a score of 10 in an Olympic contest. Bela Karrolyi is an Romanian gymnastics instructor, who later became the coach for Comaneci and first became aware of Comaneci at the age of six. She participated in the Romanian Junior Championships where she placed 13th. In 1970, she won the title. In her very first international event in 1972 she came out on top by winning three gold awards. In 1975, she won four golds and one silver medal in her debut senior international competition. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European champion. The year was 1976 when she took home the American Cup at the New York City Olympic Games and became the first woman ever to remove the parallel bars using the double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She started her career in entertainment during her teenage years, when she performed as an ice skating duo along with her sibling Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol entered the entertainment industry when she was in her teens. She began her career as figure skater, performing alongside her younger sibling Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around named Ice Capades. Ice Capades featured performances of skaters ice skating with actors.
